It encouraged me to do more volunteering. It would also look great on your CV as it shows that you are an active member in the community. Try to communicate with children because it would boost both of your of confidence in communication. Try to encourage children to read books by telling them about your positive experiences relating to you reading books (when you were younger). It is a really fun way of spending your time in the summer holidays.

It's fun but it can be dull at times if you're sat waiting around for kids to show up. Some of them can be quite interesting characters and a tad irksome or sometimes shy, so it's important to remember to remain friendly and approachable and make them feel comfortable.
