This hack is a good way to help children get excited about reading and improve their confidence when you ask them questions about their books.
Depending on the library you volunteer at, what you get out of the experience will vary, for example, at my local library, all they want you to do is ask the children questions about their book and then give them the prizes, however other libraries may teach you more responsibilities such as how to lend out books.
Overall I've had a good experience however I've spent a lot of hours just waiting for children to tell me about their books when the library wasn't busy.

Make sure to show enthusiasm to those signing up for the challenge and ask them about the books they are taking out and encourage them to keep on reading after they finish the challenge.
