What do you read to boost your mood?
4 October 2016
We’re putting together a list of mood-boosting books for young people as part of our Reading Hack does #LoveToRead celebrations. A mood-boosting book is anything that lifts your spirits and improves your wellbeing, whether that’s YA, a classic, non-fiction, poetry or a graphic novel. We want your recommendations of the best books to read when you’re feeling down that we can share with other young people.
To recommend a book email [email protected] and tell us which books boost your mood and why. Or you can tag @ReadingHackers on Twitter and Instagram and use the hashtag #moodboostingbooks.
We’ll be collecting recommendations from Reading Hackers, young people at the Southbank YA weekender and our social media followers. The final shortlist will be selected by a Reading Hack group during the Reading Hack does #LoveToRead festival later this year.
Reading Well mood-boosting books is a national promotion that focuses on the positive effect that reading can have on your health and wellbeing. You can see the full range of mood boosting book lists here.
