World Book Night is held every year on 23 April
Now is the time for you to get involved! Give out any book you choose on the night – one you already own, or one you buy specially. You can also choose whoever you want to give the book to – a friend, a member of your community, a complete stranger.
"Our Say - Birtley" planned and hosted a World Book Night event at Birtley Library for their friends. As well as the book giveaway, the teens took part in a quick facetime chat with the author of our book, Lucy Diamond. The event also included: karaoke, funky giraffe crafts, quizzes, live music from a group member Lily's band, games and ... eventual pizza!!
